Spintronix have spent the past five years developing Storm®, a breakthrough device that harnesses the power of ocean waves to generate clean, renewable electricity—ready to power homes, businesses, industry, and transport.
What powers Storm®?
Storm® is a patent-pending technology that uses electrostatic power—the same natural force behind thunderstorms—to convert the immense energy of ocean waves into clean electricity. Ocean waves carry extraordinary potential: per square meter, they hold up to 1000 times more energy than solar or wind.
Storm® Power
Thanks to the immense energy carried by ocean waves, Storm® can harness up to 24 times more power than solar, 56 times more than wind, and delivers energy output comparable to oil and coal. This makes Storm® a true game-changer—offering a genuine, renewable alternative to fossil fuels.
Storm® Products
Storm® harnesses electricity wherever there are ocean waves.
Storm Grid® is a scalable matrix of Storm® units, deployed nearshore or in the open sea. The captured energy is transmitted back to land via subsea power cables—just as offshore wind farms operate today.
Storm Off-Grid® is a self-contained unit designed for use on boats. It requires no direct contact with ocean water and can supply reliable electrical power for onboard systems or, space permitting, for electric motor propulsion.
Storm® Competition
Ocean wave technologies have yet to make a significant commercial impact in the clean energy sector, with progress lagging around 20 years behind solar and wind. The main obstacles have been corrosion from seawater, damage from large waves, and the difficulty of harnessing energy from waves moving in multiple directions.
Storm® overcomes these barriers. Its fully sealed design eliminates corrosion risks, while its innovative engineering allows it to capture energy from waves of any size and from every direction.
